Anytime women make history, it's a victory for all girls and women around the world. Women just made history in the U.S. House of Representatives--yet, we still have a long way to go before women achieve equal representation in political leadership. Women are 51% of the population in the U.S., but make up only 23.7% of Congress. To be sustainable, progress needs to happen on both sides of the aisle, too.

That's why we're so excited about Ignite's new #WomenInTheHouse campaign.

This campaign is a celebration of all women taking power, and an invitation for more to join by running for office. Check out their cool new website to take a quiz to see how similar you are to current elected officials in the U.S. You can with their interactive database and learn more about the women in Congress.

Need more inspo? An original music video co-written with Victoria Canal and Blimes Brixton celebrates the #WomenInTheHouse and encourages more girls to be inspired to run themselves. Show the video at a Club meeting, take the quiz, and brainstorm how YOU can help support more women in elected office--no matter what country you're from.
